EYFS Inclusion at Bewley

At Bewley, we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, respected, and included. In our Early Years Foundation Stage, we celebrate each child as a unique individual and provide a nurturing environment where everyone can learn, play, and grow together. Our dedicated team works closely with families and other professionals to ensure that every child receives the support and opportunities they need to flourish. Guided by our ethos of being Bright, Proud and Successful, we encourage all children to develop confidence, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging, helping them take their first steps on a lifelong journey of learning and success.

Our experienced and caring Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) plays a key role in supporting inclusion across our EYFS. The SENCo works closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to identify and meet individual needs as early as possible. By providing tailored strategies, additional resources, and ongoing training for staff, we ensure that every child, whatever their abilities or challenges, has the opportunity to achieve their personal best.

We understand that early identification and strong communication between home and school are vital. That’s why we build open, trusting relationships with parents and carers, offering regular updates, shared goal setting, and practical advice for supporting learning and development at home. Together, we celebrate every achievement, no matter how small, and create a consistent approach that helps children feel secure, confident, and ready to learn.

At Bewley, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to provide an environment where differences are embraced, individuality is celebrated, and every child is supported to shine.

Inclusion is more than just a principle, it’s part of who we are as a school community. We take pride in creating a culture where everyone feels welcome, supported, and celebrated. Our ethos of being Bright, Proud and Successful shines through in everything we do: we encourage children to be bright in their thinking and learning, proud of who they are, and successful in reaching their own goals. By working together as a strong, caring community—children, families, and staff, we ensure that every child at Bewley has the very best start in life and the confidence to embrace the future with enthusiasm and pride.
